It has won several awards including Review Centre Award 2006 for Best Anti-Virus software and also has a VB100 certification.
GaufireTech gives avast 4.5 /5
Forget the awards. The UI looks confusing, shady and kinda spooky. I suggest everyone AVG over Avast, considering its feasibility of usage and reliability.
ReplyDeleteI earlier was running AVG when I came across a similar blog post which made me uninstall AVG and go for Avast. Within no time I realized AVG was far far more better than Avast, thats when I rolled back to AVG...and since then, I've been surfing happily!
Hey i do agree that Avast has got one of the sickest looks that any virus cud have but its online updates are quite good as they are downloaded in packets and fast.
ReplyDeleteBy the way,u can go for NOD32 or Kaspersky ..they are also good.
And as you have mentioned AVG, we are coming up with a post on it.
If you can give us some inputs on that then most welcome.
